Jere “Trey” Hess, is the Director of Brownfields and Economic Development for PPM Consultants, Inc. Prior to joining PPM in July 2016, Trey was the Chief of the Groundwater Assessment & Remediation Division (GARD) for the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) and was responsible for the State cleanups at superfund, leaking underground storage tanks, brownfields, voluntary cleanups, and uncontrolled sites. In August 2023, Trey received recognition with the prestigious Phoenix Award as a "Brownfield Groundbreaker" at the National Brownfields Training Conference in Detroit for his demonstrated leadership in making a visible difference to communities throughout the Southeast.
